He Does the Holding, We do the Trusting.

“Give your entire attention to what God is doing *right now,* and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.” – Matthew 6:34 (The Message):

Where in the Bible does it say that men do the dishes?
2 Kings 21:13 “…and I will wipe Jerusalem as a man wipeth a dish, wiping it, and turning it upside down to dry.”

There’s also a whole book verifying  who should make the coffee–“Hebrews” 🙂

Isaiah 41:13(NIV)

13 For I am the Lord your God
who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear;
    I will help you.

Isaiah 41:13 (MSG)

That’s right. Because I, your God,
have a firm grip on you and I’m not letting go.
I’m telling you, ‘Don’t panic.
I’m right here to help you.’

Isaiah 41:13 (NLT)

13 For I hold you by your right hand—
    I, the Lord your God.
And I say to you,
‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.

Don’t try to hold God’s hand; let Him hold yours. Let Him do the holding, and you do the trusting.
H. W. Webb-Peploe

The way it’s supposed to work is that He does the holding  and we do the trusting. He’s got a firm grip on us and He won’t let go.  No need to ever to be a scaredy- cat about anything. He’s told us in His Word not to fear or panic.  He guarantees us that He’s right here with us and will  help us through everything.

Love Psalms 73 on those days when I’ve forgotten this great truth… even when I am senseless and ignorant…
